Here are some shots from a recent session that I just LOVE! Ashley M. is a drop-dead gorgeous girl with some serious modeling potential! Wouldn't you agree?
Headshot photography is so much fun! Especially during a snowstorm! A couple of months back, Cody B. commissioned me to create an updated headshot portfolio for him as he was still using the headshots I did for him back in 2009. As I was driving from my house in Evergreen down to Denver to meet him though, I was really starting to worry that the session would have to be rescheduled. The snow was coming down in fat, fluffy flakes and the road was getting slippery fast. Originally, we'd planned to shoot at the scenic Commons Park in downtown Denver, but we ended up meeting halfway at my husband's office where we could enjoy warm (and dry) shelter between clothing changes. I wish now that I'd taken some pull-back shots of the areas we were shooting in because they were so run-down and industrial - yet we made them work! We had a fun, albeit coooold, time playing around with different looks as well as different lighting. From warm reflected light to cold hard unmodified flash, Cody was the perfect client and a gorgeous subject to work with!

I'd like to introduce you to Ms. Sheka Wilson! This woman exudes confidence. Seriously. She is one of those people that can light up a room just by walking into it.
Sheka is both beautiful inside and out, knows it, and owns it. Here's what she has to say about her ambitions about breaking into the model and performance artist world:
I'm all about self image. I believe every woman is gorgeous in her own right whether its the color of her eyes, the shape of her mouth, to the curves of her body, we all deserve the right to be called Beautiful.
Modeling has put a stigma on curvy women, but yet more and more women are getting boob jobs and butt injections. And to those who are naturally born with it, we are not well received in the industry.
And being a woman of color shines an even brighter light on the industry. I must say, I've seen more African Americans in television commercials, since Obama's taken office, in a very long time. I'm only one woman but I have a voice and I intend to use it! Role models today, look very different since I was a teen.
My "mission" if I have to have one, would be to "Celebrate Self!" Love who you are the way God made you!

Every person that I meet ends up reminding me of someone I've met before or some celebrity I only wish I could meet. Doniphan is like a cross between 2 celebrities that I (of course) would love to someday meet: Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey!
These images were taken during a half-day model portfolio session with both a professional stylist and makeup artist attending to Doniphan's needs. He was preparing to attend a convention and open casting for pro models in Dallas, Texas and needed to update his portfolio book with fresh, rockin' fashion-inspired photographs. He certainly exceeded those expectations! What do you think?

Being the throwback that I am, whenever I hear the name "Julia" I automatically start hearing John Lennon's voice in my head, crooning the lyrics to the beautiful Beatles song of the same name. And since Julia is such a beauty herself I think that its quite a fitting song for her to share a name with! Julia will be a Class of 2012 senior at Broomfield High this fall. Its also worth mentioning that Julia was recently signed to the Wilhelmina talent agency - She begins her modeling career during the fall and you can bet she's excited to get started! I think she's got a bright future ahead and we will be seeing more of Julia soon!
