Although she hails from Castle Rock, Colorado, Brianna and I met up at the Highlands Heritage Regional Park in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. It was my first time visiting the park - I had researched it online by reading not only visitor reviews, but by also viewing numerous visitor photos and Google Earth images. [When I'm not eating and breathing photography I'm exercising my research skills!] Highlands Heritage Park turned out to be the perfect place for a golden hour senior portrait session!
Brianna and I hit it off immediately - She's got a quirky sense of humor that I love to find in my subjects! And it turns out she plays World of Warcraft too! WoW is one of my guilty pleasures and meeting other players is always a trip because you never know who might be a fellow gamer. I've met teachers, lawyers, oil drillers, and more of all ages who play. Anyway, Brianna is an avid Horde fan in contrast to my Alliance and so we had much to discuss! She's a super cool young woman and we had a blast getting these photos... Enjoy!
Here's just one of many sessions I've been meaning to blog from 2016...
These two were double the fun to photograph! We did a home session and kept things super simple with a few portraits for the yearbook (solo) and for the family (together). Good times!
From the moment that I met Brenna for our initial consultation in a local coffee shot, I adored her. She's an old soul and a truly a delight to be around. We spent much of her senior session chatting about her life and the lives of seniors in general. Her personality was sweet and kind. Her opinions and attitudes were so selfless and empathetic, yet educated and intelligent. She even dug politics and wants a career working in them. So, so cool. I walked away wishing I'd had a friend just like Brenna when I was 17. I'm really thankful that she chose me as her senior portrait photographer.
Fall is my busy season. Oh my goodness. Not complaining though, and I'm very, very thankful for being so busy. Its the one thing that keeps me motivated and my wheels on fire. Since blogging is like pulling teeth for me its always the last thing to get done. And I've got some catching up to do! Anyhoo, meet Patience. She's a 2013 senior at Rangeview High School. Patience is funny and sweet and has the most beautiful shade of aqua-blue eyes! We had a blast working this location and trying out different "senior pics" styles. And we laughed - alot. Hopefully, she wasn't just laughing at me! ;) Thanks again Patience! I absolutely adore all of your images!
