Here are some shots from a recent session that I just LOVE! Ashley M. is a drop-dead gorgeous girl with some serious modeling potential! Wouldn't you agree?
Blueghost Studio
Denver Headshot Photography {Cody B.}
Headshot photography is so much fun! Especially during a snowstorm! A couple of months back, Cody B. commissioned me to create an updated headshot portfolio for him as he was still using the headshots I did for him back in 2009. As I was driving from my house in Evergreen down to Denver to meet him though, I was really starting to worry that the session would have to be rescheduled. The snow was coming down in fat, fluffy flakes and the road was getting slippery fast. Originally, we'd planned to shoot at the scenic Commons Park in downtown Denver, but we ended up meeting halfway at my husband's office where we could enjoy warm (and dry) shelter between clothing changes. I wish now that I'd taken some pull-back shots of the areas we were shooting in because they were so run-down and industrial - yet we made them work! We had a fun, albeit coooold, time playing around with different looks as well as different lighting. From warm reflected light to cold hard unmodified flash, Cody was the perfect client and a gorgeous subject to work with!
Cheers to turning lemons into lemon sorbet! Thanks again, Cody! This was a super fun session and I'm so proud of your images!
A "Pet Photography" Session with Goldenview Veterinary Hospital
Pet Photography in Golden, Colorado
Several months ago, I tried something new, and donated a pet photography session to Goldenview Veterinary Hospital located in Golden, Colorado. I've been a client there since 2002 when I adopted Bela - my Red-bellied Poicephalus parrot. Dr. Kris Ahlgrim is not only an awesome doctor, she is also a wonderfully kind and calming person to be around. Her "bedside manner" with both animals and their people is the best I've seen from any vet - period. All of the animals below are either GVH client pets or staff pets.
Enough chit-chat, already. Enjoy the furry, scaly, adorable eye-candy!
Ms. Sheka {Denver Fashion Photography}
I'd like to introduce you to Ms. Sheka Wilson! This woman exudes confidence. Seriously. She is one of those people that can light up a room just by walking into it.
Sheka is both beautiful inside and out, knows it, and owns it. Here's what she has to say about her ambitions about breaking into the model and performance artist world:
I'm all about self image. I believe every woman is gorgeous in her own right whether its the color of her eyes, the shape of her mouth, to the curves of her body, we all deserve the right to be called Beautiful.
Modeling has put a stigma on curvy women, but yet more and more women are getting boob jobs and butt injections. And to those who are naturally born with it, we are not well received in the industry.
And being a woman of color shines an even brighter light on the industry. I must say, I've seen more African Americans in television commercials, since Obama's taken office, in a very long time. I'm only one woman but I have a voice and I intend to use it! Role models today, look very different since I was a teen.
My "mission" if I have to have one, would be to "Celebrate Self!" Love who you are the way God made you!

Ms. Courtney
Hello and welcome to a sneaky peaky of my first images shot in my new Lakewood, Colorado photography studio!I'll be making an official announcement soon, but in the meantime I wanted to just make a quick post of my first session in my new digs.
Ms. Courtney came to me for a pin-up shoot, which I will be posting about soon! The images are gorgeous and fun! We also did some fashion and commercial looks for her acting and modeling portfolio, which she is in the midst of sprucing up.
I think Courtney's channeling Ally Sheedy's character's makeover at the end of The Breakfast Club in these images. Love!
Special thanks go to Stephanie Millonig, for styling and make up!
