Lovely Live Colorado Music Photography
A few months back I photographed local singer-songwriter Rachel Alena rehearsing with her band, Rachel and The Ruckus, at The Doghouse Studio in Lafayette, Colorado.
It had been a while since I’d last photographed musicians doing their thang in an indoor venue and I’d just about forgotten how much fun it was to shoot gelled lighting without a flash! The prominent gels were orange, green, and purple and provided such an aesthetic boon to Rachel’s performance portraits! I did also bring my studio lights so we could get some more traditionally lit posed band photos as well. Here are my faves!
